About Me

My name is Karis Rochelle. (pronounced like"Paris" but with a "K")

I have been changed by relentless love and grace. Jesus Christ has changed my life. I stay amazed at His never ending goodness. My heart never stood a chance.

A Worship Leader and Media Arts Director from 9-5. Wife and mommy always. My husband is a handsome, body building, tattooed, creative, passionate, motorcycle loving, pastor. I have no doubt that Shakespeare himself would want to rip-off our "how we met" story. Our 2 year old, red headed little boy is the absolute joy of our life. We are a cute, edgy, little God-loving family.

I (KARIS) INTERRUPT THIS BIO TO GIVE SOME BREAKING NEWS: In an incredible turn of events in our life, God has answered one of our biggest prayers and has now given up the opportunity to plant a church! As of July 27, 2011 we will no longer be working for Fellowship of the Nations as Student Pastors and Media Design Director. The weekend of August 5 we will be packing up and moving to Centralia, IL where we will begin the process of launching a church. We are hoping to launch in February of 2012. We are launching through the ARC (Association of Related Churches) and are so excited and feel overwhelmingly blessed to have had so many doors open and specific prayers answered. We feel humbled and so blessed by the launch team that is already forming to help us with this process. My husband will be the Senior Pastor of this new plant, and I will be along his side as well as very instrumental in the Worship Arts Department. Please pray for us because we are basically quitting our jobs, selling a bunch of stuff, moving cross-country and going to start a church! We love the city of Centralia and our burden has grown daily since we started praying about if that is where God wanted us to plant. It is my husband's hometown, where we ministered the first 2 years of our marriage, and where our hearts have attached themselves to. All of my family is from Houston and I will be leaving them once again, and it is just never a fun process to adjust to life without my mom, dad, step-mom and my 3 beautiful sisters... plus 3 step ("bonus) siblings. Thankfully, I have some pretty stellar in=laws who love God deeply and love me like I am their own. Stay tuned to the blog as we begin this incredible journey into our Destiny. I have a feeling that my blog will transform in many ways over the next several months as I settle into this new life that we will be living. I can't wait to see the direction that God takes it and the connections that He will continue to bring into my life as the result of this precious world of blogging. (Yes, I know that was a monster run-on sentance... forgive me?)

A tamed rebel. Lover of God, not religion. Addiction to inspiration. A Gypsy of sorts. Musician. Motivated by mystery. Just want to make a difference and be a history maker. Happy. Very Happy. I like for life to be a little rough around the edges. Constantly introspective. I handle change very well and even crave it once in a while. Constantly getting caught up in wanderlust. I need fashion in my life in order for me to function properly. Not a big fan of the “status quo.” Life is anything but normal… and that’s just how we like it.

I thoroughly enjoy shopping, coffee, city life, world-missions, oversized purses, ballet, breakfast, traveling, date nights with my love, obscure boutiques, music that moves me, cooking (and eating) pretty food, tattoos, all things girly, decorating and re-decorating my house over and over, real connections with real people, celebration and adventure.

Every moment is so much bigger than me so more than anything, I would radically define myself as one beloved by God.
