And I thought Texas weather was crazy???
It’s one thing to go from 80 degrees and humid to 50 degrees and breezy in Texas and think that the weather is crazy… it’s in a completely different league to go from 20 degrees with snow and icy roads… to a perfectly BEAUTIFUL weekend with temperatures in the 60’s and low 70’s with a light breeze. This weekend was our first peek at spring and we can not wait! I even pulled out a tank top on Saturday. But all good things must come to an end… right now it is stormy and right behind this rain, yet another nasty winter storm is headed our way… carrying snow, sleet, and freezing rain. YUCK! Within the next few weeks it should start warming up… just in time for a little visit from one of my favorite Texans.
In other news…
It appears as though me and Seth have sold our house… which of course means we have to find a new one. Although Centralia is a small town it isn’t a “rural” town, so we have neighborhoods and stoplights and all that jazz… however, it is still a small town and there is just not much on the market this time of year. My mother-in-law is the top real estate agent in town, so I’m not too worried, but at the same time, it looks like we will need to be out of our house by mid to late April, and I’m just a tad worried about the time line. I have no doubt that we will have somewhere to stay until something does come on the market, but an expedited house shopping/finding experience would be greatly appreciated so everyone please pray for us in this endeavor!
The Orchardville Church Centralia Branch building is looking amazing! The paint is up, the carpet is laid and the countdown has begun. April 6 will be our first Sunday at the new satellite location. From that day on, I will spend two days working in my office there and two days working in my office here at the main campus. March 16 will be me and my praise team’s last time to lead worship here at the main campus. I will still be leading with another team on Easter and then our last Sunday before Centralia Branch opens we will be doing a very special commissioning service in which the Centralia Praise team will lead a special time of Worship. Right from our first Sunday in Centralia we will be having two services. I guess it’s safe to say that you have God’s favor when you haven’t even opened up the church yet and we are already having to go to two services. We are also starting to brainstorm about what a third service would look like… yikes! Despite the craziness and busyness of getting this new branch off the ground, we are so passionately excited and just simply can’t wait to see what God has in store.

As far as my “pretty little Things” blog goes, don’t worry, I haven’t quit. I collect pictures and ideas and am inspired more times in a day than I can count. So much to the point that I am actually starting up a separate blog to capture this journey that I seem to be on that is filled with inspiration, discovery and passion. Me and Seth have been talking about my passions lately and what inspires me and how much we both long for me to find ways to release it all, I just don’t even know where to start. Being in a smaller town , I don’t have all of the options that I would if I lived in a big city, but at the same time, the small town life does allow me to have a much bigger platform than I would in a bigger city. So, I don’t want to spend the rest of my life being inspired and letting it stop there, I want to be inspired and DO SOMETHING about it. I am on a journey right now of discovering how to creatively release my thoughts and ideas. Some of which will be on this blog, some of which will be in personal projects for myself, such as designing clothes again, decorating, blogging, cooking, DIY projects… I’ll most likely keep experimenting with different things until I find what works. The possibilities are endless and I am incredibly excited about it. So just be watching, when I get the blog completed and up, I will let you know.
I will be in Texas sometime soon to help out after my mom’s surgery… and to hopefully we will get to squeeze in some wedding planning time in my visit as well. Her and George are just precious and I, along with my sisters, are loving how happy she is and how happy we know she will continue to be. At this point it will take a whole lot more than a surgery to get her down. Thank you George… but more importantly… thank you God!
So it's a blah kind of day... it's gloomy and rainy outside, but I really am glad it's Monday. I have come to love the beauty and calm the lies in the beginning of every new day. And yes, I said "the beginning" mainly because, not every day is perfect, some days aren't even close! But every day has been given to me on purpose... and I plan to do something about it.
