By now, I'm sure everyone has heard, but just to make the official public statement... me and Seth are expecting our first baby!
We are SO incredibly excited. I haven't uploaded the picture from my phone yet from RIGHT when I found out. I will save it for when I write about the details surrounding the amazing... yet crazy... moments when I initially found out. This is from the morning after I found out, it was still sinking in and I don't think the glow has even left my face! Hopefully it never will!
I actually found out that I was pregnant on my trip to Texas, so it worked out so perfectly to get to tell my parents in person, but I had to tell Seth over the phone... which was interesting to say the least! You know that commercial where the girl is screaming that she's pregnant and the call gets dropped??? Yeah... that basically happened, but the call didn't drop, I just had really bad service and had to repeat myself about 5 times before he heard me! I just though he had passed out. =) Courtney was actually there when I found out... which is a crazy story alllllll by itself! Telling mom and George and dad and Deb, and all of the siblings were all precious moments in time for me! I told mom by giving her a present to help her "recover during her surgery". She was expecting something that would embarrass her, but it was some bibs that had the words "grandma" on them. I told dad by refusing to partake in our Starbucks tradition during the ride to Austin. I told him "I can't really have much coffee for the next 8 months." Deb got it before he did, he kept talking and about 30 seconds later paused for a second and then freaked out! I didn't have a camera ready when I told dad, but here's mom and the girl's reactions (Courtney caught it perfectly!):
I am right at 7 weeks and will be having our first ultra sound on this Thursday. I'm pretty sure the baby will just look like a little blob at this point, but I'm sure it will be the most amazingly cute blob I've ever seen.
We are due the first week of May.
I have been quite sick, but thankfully it's off and on. Yesterday was actually my hardest day. I woke up about 4:30 a.m. feeling pretty horrible, I stayed home from work and was miserable all day, up until I fell asleep at 10:00 p.m. I am definitely much more tired than usual as well. I'm not sick enough to keep me too tied down, but not well enough to feel up to many outings. And who ever came up with the title "morning sickness"?! This stuff lasts aaaalllllll day! I'm half way through the first trimester!
So, the baby is about the size of a blueberry and it's already getting spoiled. Dad has already hit up the trendiest baby stores in Austin. Mom is already making bows (wishfully hoping for another girl) and helping me out with my pregnancy cravings...which really contribute to her everyday ones! Christiana bought me a special mommy key chain today and sent me a pic on email of it. So, between grandparents, sisters and my own shopping addiction...I have to admit that there is already a nice little pile of baby clothes forming. =) What did we all expect though?!? Really???

Seth is being an amazing husband through my sick days and He is just as excited as I am. He's being a good sport and moving his office to our guest room so that the baby room can be closer to our bedroom. The day I flew in from Texas he had sent me flowers to tell me that he loves me and how excited he is. Everyone asks if we want a boy or a girl and we honestly aren't leaning more towards one or the other. ...two of the grandma's are praying for a girl through, so we'll just have to see!

So after Thursday I will have a better update! My first Dr's appt is September 24. I am actually going to have the baby in Mt. Vernon which is a town about the size of Nederland about 25 minutes outside of Centralia.
