I have officially made it to the third trimester... and I am DEFINITELY looking like it! I'm carrying Malakai pretty low and am just really starting to look huge, I can't imagine what I will look like (or feel like!) in a couple more months. Shirts that used to be very flowy and baggy don't even come close to fitting. Jeans are still do-able. With wind chills in the NEGATIVE teens, hoodies have been my best friends lately!
Our Dr.'s appointment went great. My overall weight gain is still below average, but I did finally gain a good amount this month. We are both still very healthy, so I'm glad about that. Despite the below average weight gain, Malakai is growing like he should be and he had a very strong and healthy heartbeat.
I've been having some major trouble sleeping. Kai is sitting right on my sciatic nerve and it is causing some major discomfort and pain, so I usually get up a little early and try to lay on the couch to relieve the discomfort. This morning I was just laying there watching my stomach move for over an hour. I don't know what he was doing in there but it felt... and looked... like he was busting some moves. He was so active for so long, I just kept giggling about it... it's such an amazing thing to think that he is REALLY in there...a very alive and healthy baby boy!
We will be making the 12 hour drive to Texas in a couple of weeks which I am super excited about! Well, I'm more excited about being in Texas than the drive TO Texas. After we get back home, we'll have our shower up here and then it's basically crunch time for getting things ready for Kai!
