In Memory of...

As many of you may have already known from reading my previous blogs, I have developed a very deep passion for cupcakes. In preparation for opening a cupcake type of business (details still being talked about and thought out) I am now baking one flavor of cupcakes a week. Last week was Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing. This week will be Vanilla Cake with Chocolate butter cream icing. And just for the record, these aren’t cup cakes from a box either. They are 100% homemade… right down to the icing! I'm experimenting with decorating them in a simple but unique ways. This week I should be getting my professional decorating equipment in the mail, so that will probably help with the outcome! I will eventually post pictures of my adventures in baking, but my digital camera that I always had on hand at the house has recently bit the dust. I have a wonderful Nikon d40 that I use for my media projects at the church, but I don't always have it at my disposal. We are working quickly to get a new "family camera" so we can capture Kai's early months!

When I was in Austin, TX a few weeks ago I stopped by a cup cake stand in the form of a streamline travel trailer. It was right down the street from the church that my dad is on staff at. (which I tool as a sign from God Himself). While at this cupcake stand I chuckled at the cupcake flavor “Michael Jackson.”

Here’s the description and a picture in memory of the “King of Pop”.
