Today is a very special day! 15 years ago, a beautiful little baby girl was born who would forever impact my life. My parents decided to wait until I was 12 and my older sister was 14 to have another baby... well, there ended up being 2 more babies, but Kaitlyn's blog will be in November! =) Me, Christiana, and my older sister Courtney all share the same birthday week. Christiana's is September 30, Mine - October 3, Court's - October 6. And our "caboose" Kaitlyn is not too far behind in November.
My little sister, Christiana Noelle’ is celebrating her 15th birthday today. I remember the second mom and dad told us that we would be having a new little brother or sister, as well as the first time I saw her precious (but screaming) face! Chrissie, as I affectionately call her, is one of the strongest and most precious teenage girls I have ever seen. I am just constantly blown away at the depth and maturity that she shows. Chrissie walked through a very traumatic season of life as a young teenager and has chosen to hold her head high and to not let her circumstances define her. Her smile is GORGEOUS, her laugh is contagious, she has a sense of fashion that is so well developed for her age, she has amazing hair, wisdom beyond her years, compassion, kindness, joy, such a sweet, loving spirit, a passion for life, and a precious love for God. She is smart. She is loyal. She is honest. She is real. I couldn't be more proud. She has blossomed into one of the most beautiful young ladies I know and I am honored to call her sister and even more honored to call her one of my bestest of the best friends.
(and yes, her sash in one of the pictures below says "most friendly" ...which I already knew!)
