Courtney Danielle

Today is yet ANOTHER special day!

Today is the 28th birthday of my oldest sister, Courtney Danielle. I was born 3 days before her 2nd birthday... and ever since then she has never had a party to herself. =)

Courtney has been my best friend for my entire life. We have had our "sibling rivalry" moments, but our hearts are forever entwined. I do not go even a few hours without thinking of her, and wishing she was here. We have some pretty amazing memories that are always dwelling in my heart. She is a stellar personality who never meets a stranger. She is a people person deluxe... a talented and driven administrator... detail oriented... an acclaimed personal shopper... so organized it's disgusting... creative... she has a beautiful voice... she loves to laugh... she loves to love... she loves to give and give and give and give.

We together have sang all over the US, ministered together, been silly together, laughed together, worked in the fashion industry together, danced together, shopped together...A LOT, organized events together, traveled aaaalllll over the place together, cried together, climbed impossible mountains together... we like the EXACT same foods and hate the exact same foods. We can be on opposite ends of a dining table and order the exact same thing, down to the extras. We harmonize beautifully. We have always shared birthday parties. We compare wardrobes and brag to each other when we get new items. All of my boyfriends were always scared of her to some degree. We have a matching tattoos that we designed. I've thrown a blowdryer at her in the middle of one of our fights... but she was being impossible! She told me when I was little that if I slept on the top bunk the neighbor's dogs would eat me in my sleep. Come to find out there's weren't any dogs and she just wanted the top bunk. We have walked side by side through dark valleys and been through things that are just too difficult to explain to new people... but we love deep connections with people so we are always willing to try. I know without a doubt that God still has HUGE plans for her and am SO excited about watching her future develop!

"When you think back on all we've done
I hope you're proud
When you look back and see how far we've come
It was our time to shine
And nobody could hold us down
They thought they'd see us fall
But we, we stood so tall
And no we won't forget...
Whenever you remember times gone by
Remember how we held our heads so high
When all this world was there for us
And we believed that we could touch the sky
