CUPCAKES AND A BABY!

So right before we took off on vacation, I helped throw a baby shower for Seth's cousin, who is also a dear friend of mine. The shower was the morning that we had to leave for the airport.

One of my contributions for the shower was to make the cupcakes of course. Baby Ogden's room is done in owls and little forest creatures, so these were just so much fun to make! I used a "from scratch" wedding cake recipe, along with a from scratch white butter-cream icing recipe. I was more than pleased with how they come out. I think they are officially my favorites out of all the cupcake orders I have ever done.

So congratulations to Rebecca and Derek for their upcoming arrival of Baby Ogden! We can't wait to meet him!

My BFF Missy did an amazing job pulling it all together. I was simply the cupcake-making side kick. =) I am blessed to have such an incredible friend who shares my passion for all things creative and artsy. (the shower was planned to be a precious outdoor shower in a beautiful setting, but mother nature had other plans, so thankfully the house host had a very nice and clean garage!)
