Color my World

If I would have known it would be THIS grey outside today... I would have worn the brightest shirt I could find!

Some days (like today) it just helps to be reminded that there is such a thing as color.

(These pictures have been stored in a lovely little file on my computer entitled "color" for a while now. I am not sure of the proper credits. I apologize.)

Apples of My Eye: Two for Tea... or Maybe Just One

There's nothing quite as tranquil and relaxing as a fresh cup of hot tea.

I could always go for a fresh cup, but I believe that there is just something remarkable about putting on the kettle and enjoying a cup in the middle of an anxiety saturated day.

It brings calm. It requires you to stop and enjoy the few seconds that you have with just you... and your tea cup of choice.

I go through tea phases, but right now I've been doing a lot of hanging out with Earl Grey. Just a touch of sweetener and a drop of cream.... perfect.

I vote that we institute a mandatory "Tea Time" every day.

After traveling this past weekend to a big city, I was reminded once again just how much I adore life in the city. I'm perfectly OK with the fact that I don't live right in the heart of a big city anymore, but a part of my heart will always jump with excitement anytime I see a sky line plastered across the sky.

Something that always catches my eye in etsy is fake food. Or should I say felt food???

For Christmas, I really want to get Kai some little sets to play with, but at this point everything goes straight to his mouth and that might result in some tragic fuzz in the mouth incidents, and I would hate that. Maybe next year?

It's easier to find patterns for the little foods than it is to actually find the little foods, so read carefully before you buy!

Coffee? Hot cocoa? Latte?

This is the cutest cotton candy I've ever seen!

(and trust me I've seen A LOT of cotton candy in my life!)

And last but never-ever least. Christmas cookies! I wonder how Santa would feel if these were left on Christmas Eve instead of real cookies? They are so precious, I don't think he would mind one bit. As a matter of fact, he should just get his elves to take some pointers from etsy.

Fancy-Schmancy Coffee

One might call me a "coffee snob" but I'm really not. McCafe works fine for me, but when the opportunity for good... and I mean gooooood coffee presents itself. I can not resist. A good cup of coffee can just do wonders.

Gray and Black winter wardrobes.

It might seem a little boring to some people, but I love how it just fits in with the whole look and feel of cold snowy days... and is always the perfect canvas to add your own pops of color here and there.

2.) WINTER

I don't know if it's the holidays, the gorgeous white snow, the excuse to cuddle... but I really love the winter season. It's not my favorite, but it is definitely something I get excited about. I'm sure all of the fun that you can have with your winter wardrobe also inspires my love for winter as well.

3.) AN ORGANIZED CLOSET STOCKED WITH THE PERFECT SEASONAL WARDROBE

(Such as a good base of black shoes for fall and winter)

4.) BAKING PRETTY THINGS...
(or sometimes things that are more tasty than pretty)

JAMIE has inspired me to create my own "work space" somewhere in our house. Seth has so kindly offered that if I share some of my drawers with him that are in our bedroom, he will share his office with me. When that project is completed, I will be able to MAKE as well as continue to bake pretty things!

5.) "GIRLY" THINGS
(Mainly articles of clothing and accessories that radiate femininity.)
