Floor Flare

Me and Seth made a quick trip to "Big Lots" in search of a new desk for me to set up my computer at and work on my projects at. Sometimes you can find great furniture deals there, so keep that in mind next time you are shopping around and need a bargain. Well, Big Lots didn't give us many options as far as desks or workspaces go, but as we were roaming around these bright and beautiful rugs totally caught my attention. I fell in love with them before I looked at the price, which can really be a dangerous thing, but in this case it was totally meant to be because they were only $5.00 a piece! Can you believe that?! Look at these beauties! I ended up leaving the store with three of them. There were so many options, all with different color combinations. I just kept finding more and laying them out all down the aisle while I narrowed down my choices. Seth was so patient. I am so glad I found them! We needed some rugs inthe new house and they add just the right amount of flare to the area they cover.

FALL: Just can't get enough!!!!

How could you NOT be excited?! This was the first week that it REALLY started feeling like fall. With pumpkin flavored desserts making their seasonal debut, it REALLY feels official. Here's some pics from our house and around town during this past week...

Fall is DEFINITELY here and it is oh so evident in the cool and crisp air, The smell of pumpkin spice in my house, the sound of the leaves rustling on the ground and the GORGEOUS colors seen around our precious little city of Centralia:

Rainy fall days may be long sometimes, but they always pull through and bring us lovely fall temps!
(and an excuse for me to break out the boots!)

Just Around the Corner!

So, I'm ALWAYS on a mega quest to organize my pictures on my computer... on top of the ridiculous amount I have on there of my family, I have those I intend to use as blog topics one day, and those that are simply there to inspire me, and then there's the insane amount that are for work... BUT I love it because everywhere I look on my computer is inspiration! Yippee! Today, I found these pictures of my house from last Christmas and OOOOHHHH MAN! I am now even MORE incredibly excited about Christmas! I mean it's JUST around the corner. However, I don't want fall to rush. I want to soak it in, breathe it deep, eat and drink all of the pumpkin flavored things that I can, buy even more light weight scarves, see all of the pretty colors to come and enjoy the gorgeous days ahead! (but, just in case you didn't hear me or catch my drift, I am INCREDIBLY excited about Christmas!)

Did I mention I love snow?!

I Heart Jewelry.

A few times I have had people ask me how I store all of my jewelry. There is a TON of it and organizing it with limited space can be tough to accomplish. I have found some key items that really help me out. Here is a quick run down...

I think that having a good jewelry armoire or a piece of furniture that looks good but is functional is key.

Here is mine:

I never put my wedding ring and ichthus ring away. I'm either wearing them or am in bed, so they stay here.

Chunky bangles... and my ipod and a pic of my and my love! =)

Necklaces:

I LOVE this thing that I use for my earrings. I'm about to buy another one. Complete with pics of my little sisters, so I get to see them every day! =)

More fragile necklaces that tangle easily, rings, metal bangles, and my Brighton "mommy" bracelet...

I have a small separate little jewelry box that Seth bought me one year that I keep my valuable jewelry in:

I hang my long necklaces in my closet.

I have a shoe keeper on the back of my closet door that holds all of my excess jewelry, sunglasses, watches, lotions, perfumes, etc...

I also have a few little decor items around our room that I use as jewelry holders for the stuff that I don't wear as often, but refuse to get rid of. It's all about functionality and making it make sense to you.
